Frank and Joe continue to be the nicest guys on Shelter Island and they continue to make the best pizza and pasta, salads, meatballs, chicken wings etc. Everything they make is incredibly delicious. Goes to prove if you love what you do and you're kind to people and you make delicious food, you're gonna be a big success. And shelter island would not be the same without Slice. Bravo Gents and your team !!!!
Huge fan of the SI Slice! I had a couple slices after the Shelter Island Bucks game with a few of the players. This place does it right and the are proud sponsors of the SI Bucks. Large & delicious pizza slices you can choose from right at the front window when you walk in and served hot. The buffalo chicken (not very spicy), the pepperoni (a beautiful NY slice), the chicken bacon ranch (a home run)! The pasta dishes look amazing! One of the players I was with ordered a dish and it smelled fantastic! Open seats inside and outside. TVs to watch current events and games as well.
Had a couple of delicious slices at Shelter Island Slice. Staff was friendly and service was quick. I recommend if you're looking for some solid pizza.
Wow ! What an amazing local place . I'd your not local hop on a ferry . Food is delicious and freshly made. Chicken Parm hero best I've had out. Staff super nice and courteous. Doesn't have to be fancy to be so good . Best of all, so friendly priced.
Very friendly staff and spacious indoor seating at this restaurant. The chicken bacon ranch slice is loaded with toppings which was delicious and super filling. I also really enjoyed the grandma slice. Margherita slice also tasty! We got an order of garlic knots but some parts of some pieces were clearly undercooked. However; overall had a great experience and it was just what we needed!
Picked up 3 pies from here the other night to take home: pepperoni and 2 plain. The actual store was super cute and clean and for SI they do tend to stay open on the later side which is just amazing. The owner was there tonight and was so so friendly and eager to converse with us. The actual pizzas were very good in my opinion; not too greasy or flimsy. Pizza in the hamptons (in this context I mean being able to get a pie to go or a slice...not sit down) is honestly scare and this is a really good options. I don't want to give my full opinion yet or go into too much detail since some of the people I was with thought it was just mediocre. I will definitely try it again and report back, but first thoughts: yummy!
The food was amazing! We had their famous "Penne a la Mimo" which has a pink Marsala cream sauce with mushrooms, ham and a little mozzarella cheese. We also had fresh garlic bread and Gorgonzola salad which was delicious! The pizza are the same great pies I remember from their restaurant in Sag Harbor years ago! So glad Frank and the crew found a new home. We'll be back - even if it's a 2-hour drive from NYC
